I started out doing a webstrip called Hardcore, did a few independent books such as Committed Comics’ Threads which early last year became in TPB format with an excuslive bonus story by me.
I had a brief, (and I’m talking like Quicksilver taking a leak brief) tenure at Marvel Comics, where I wrote an inventory story for then X-MEN Editor Mark Powers featuring everyone’s favorite mutant Gambit.
I co-created, and contributed to 9-11 Emergency Relief published by Alternative Comics and was the only tribute book that was allowed to use the Red Cross logo. My story, Reality is better than fiction, even though it ran 3 pages short due to a printing error, was seen (at least in the New York showing) at the traveling Heroes Among us exhibit by the Comic Book Museum, and was spotlighted in several Japanese publications.
I created in game scene content for the flash based X-MEN fangame X-ASSAULT from NixonVision, creating in game dialogue between the characters during the fight scene. X-ASSAULT contained work from other comic book professionals on the X-Fan Website (presently ComiXfan)
I co-founded Mad Science Studio with fellow members Annika Leaura-Wood, James Ritchey, III, Chad Porter, Dave Newton, and Ron Fortier.
Did development work, and maintain an ongoing relationship with comics to film company Platinum Studios who were responsible for producing the television series, Jeremiah, and the Men In Black film franchise. Even served as PR man for a brief stint.
Completed a young adult novel, which is in limbo due to breach of contract by the publisher.
Served as distribution manager and promotion monkey for iHero entertainment as well as writing short stories for inclusion in the upcoming Cyber Age Adventures Magazine which was released in June ‘06, but shortly fizzled out after the first issue.
I had a story in the final issue of the Shooting Star Comics Anthology. (issue 6) Drawn by Studiomate Nat Jones of Rob Zombie’s The Nail, and Spawn: The Dark Ages fame.
I’m also Sr. Public Relations and Marketing Director of Unscrewed! the organization created by comics creators, fans, and retailers to combat illegal, unethical and exploitive practices in the comics publishing industry,
“We call ourselves ‘creators’; authors, pencilers, inkers, painters, colorists, letterers. Today, we stand together against the heinous actions of one individual. There is no more ‘individually’. We are all truly ‘creators’.”
I’m also contributing to the anthology book, Art by the recent Cable/Deadpool artist Jon Malin and inks by Dash Martin. (who colored Jon’s Deadpool issues!)
