I haven’t read it. It LOOKS a lot like Kirby, for sure. My sense is that it doesn’t come out very regularly, and I have know idea if the writing’s any good.

Hey there, justin. Yeah, I subbed to it when it first came out, and read the first 10-15 issues, but then got laid off so had to cut it. I have to play catch up now. :) But it’ll be worth it I’m sure!

It would certainly be the cheapest way to go. You can get #1 for only $37.00 at Amazon. Maybe cheaper on ebay. The compendium stops at #48. Volume #2 isn’t out yet.

Cooke’s “Parker” is the best thing I’ve read in awhile. Can’t wait for “The Outfit”. “Getaway Face” was a nice preview.
Parker is awesome, you’ll love it. I’m about halfway through Bru and Lark’s Daredevil, and also simultaneously reading the original Frank Miller run! As you can imagine there are plenty of similarities, but each writer has their own take. I love how Brubaker brings back some of the older characters, like Dakota North, Gladiator, and Mister Fear. I kinda wish D’Armata had colored more of Lark’s work, they made a great pair!

I thought the issue was pretty good. It started out strongly but at the end when Superman, GL and Booster Gold showed up, my heart sank as I realized this has now just turned into a crossover. I’m not a big fan of the MU and crossovers. I understand the next issue is much better and the series is an important part of the continuality of Batman so I am sticking to it. Right now it gets a “B” from me. Have you read it? What did you think?

Really?! Wow, I guess you have the full right to bash him as much as you want now. I don’t like Deadpool more than “so-so” but I thought that issue captured the different dimensions of the character. That’s why I recommended it; I was hoping you’d find something to him. Oh well.

Hmmm…Just in the last couple of weeks I’ve fallen in love with Chew and Kick-Ass. Probably late to the party on them, but oh well. Spawn since 185 (I think that’s Endgame Part 1) has been great. Otherwise it’s been mostly random ASM and Blackest Night stuff.
Yes, it is very good, I too am surprised at how good it is. I will stick with it as long as I can…

The only ancillary FC title I read was “Legion of 3 Worlds” which was excellent. Otherwise I just stuck with the main story. I do that, preferring to read the main story and not many of the off-shoots. The only exception is this summers “Blackest Night”, which finds me getting the Blackest Night Batman, and possibly Tales of the Corps.
Great calls on Cap & GL! I am now on GL: Revenge of the GLs, so I am still working my way through them…they really are great and a little darker than you would think.
