Dude, I highly recommend the Immortal Iron Fist run by Brubaker, Fraction and Aja. The fleshing out of the Iron Fist universe was one of the most satisfying Marvel reads of the last couple years. Didn’t care for the creative team change around issue #18, so I bailed after that, but the initial issues (first 2 trades) are great.
Sorry, I was wrong – there’s a fourth Criminal TBP: Bad Night. Not sure that it’s out yet, but if not, it will be.
Graphic Novels Reviews
This is the single greatest graphic novel I’ve ever read.
Yorick is a great lead character who I found it very easy to identify with. He’s flawed and lazy and not a lot of things go his way, but you can’t help but love him. He’s also pretty funny, even if no-one else seems to realise this.
Rather than being a superhero (spandex brigade!) story, this is the most human story I’ve ever come across in this form.
I highly recommend all 10 books that complete this story. After you’ve read these, have a look at Pride of Baghdad by the same writer. Ignore what that says its all about and buy it anyway. You won’t be disappointed.
