This is a great book! The themes & subject matter are a bit heavy, but it never gets bogged down. Every aspect of this book enriches the story, and adds depth to the characters; from the varied art styles, and incredible page layouts, to the lettering and word-balloon shapes.

The characters in this book become very real, and the story throws some huge emotional punches…

I recently saw the movie “Synecdoche New York (sp?) I can’t say I loved that movie, but this book reminds me of it at times in a good way, if that makes sense.
