My theater company did an adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean’s graphic novel “Mr. Punch” last year, and it looks like we’re remounting it in July in Los Angeles. Mr. Gaiman has been really supportive and is helping us with the updated version. If you’re interested, you can check out www.rogueartists.org for more dirt. The last version was pretty much the greatest thing ever, so I can guarantee quality this time around, too.

I really love Vaughn’s work on it. “Both” of his consecutive runs… if that makes any sense. Whedon is… okay. Others like him, but I have a personal vendetta against him, as you can see. The next writer is Terry Moore who wrote Strangers in Paradise, so I’m pretty excited. The original run is still my favorite (available in digest form, not best to display the art, though :( ).

Buffy and Angel? How about trying out Runaways? I usually recommend buying the first Trade Paperback (should be availabse here somewhere), but since you’re such a Joss Whedon fan, and he’s writing Runaways now, you may just like to read it.
A bunch of kids find out that their parents really ARE the bad guys. They runaway from home and use their inherited powers or technology to try to undo the bad their parents have done. It’s one of my favs!
