Frank the Tank [Member Since: September 10 '08]

College student majoring in social studies who recently fell back into the comic book scene. Known for humor, and activist activities- I enjoy listening to music and drawing with pencil, and pen/ink. I also am a photography fan- but haven’t had inspiration lately.

Fan of:
Spawn/Todd McFarlane
Wulf and Batsy/Bryan Baugh
100 Bullets/Eduardo Risso
Sin City/Frank Miller
I enjoy independent and original comics, and comics with a criminal twist. I enjoy spawn because he’s such a bad-ass character, and there is that paranormal side to the story. I can bother to read superman or other such comics, such as Civil War, Thor, or all that jazz- doesn’t get me interested.

Graphic Novels Reviews

Watchmen Tp [ link ]

Wow- with all the hype of this book claiming to be the “definitive graphic novel” I was really rather disappointed. The ending made up for the majority of the story which I found to be mostly filler, like a really long movie before it goes to the editor. I found this book sort of painful to read as to the content, but the ending has left me with questions, and maybe I’ll need to review the last two chapters before fully understanding the story’s end. Decent book, but definitely not amazing.

the more you read it the better it is. there is a ton of depth to every dialogue. i was a little disappointed the first time i got through it. it’s much better the second time around haha.
