Hi Joe,

Just came across your profile, and I enjoyed your two blog posts. I just started reading X-Men, and I don’t see what the whole draw is. I guess I missed the boat. I’ll have to look for copies of Old Man Logan though. Thanks, and welcome to HI!

Possibly my favorite issue of the entire story arc. OMACs, Heros, sex, plague of anti-life, and the Cheetah. What more can you hope for. Seriously, we finally see the DCU go on the counterattack against Darkseid. The whole story is getting better and we see how the whole arc is going to effect the DCU. One thing though, marrying or even dating Mr. Terrific is the kiss of death…

I have read this about 5 times and am still not sure about how much I like it. The art is good and the story, though predictable, is pretty good. I can only chalk it up to my 20+ years in the Marines that causes my reticence to really like the story. Too much time with the people who are in uniform and just how good and decent they are. One thing that Gugginheim caught is the spirit of medal winners, MOH in particular, in that they refuse to brag of their heroics. While the use of Spider-Man rubs a bit wrong, Flash would rather look a who he thinks is a hero instead of his efforts. Listen to the Rangers at Utah Beach, the Marines on Iwo. Korean and Vietnam vets are the same. Just my two cents. Semper Fi!
