I am late to the comic scene, but have several series that I really enjoy reading (even if I do pick them up solely in trade paperback form).

My favorite genre is the reluctant hero.  Power's fallen-superhero-turned-cop, Y's magician-turned-humanity's-last-hope, and so on.  I like exploring the struggle of how different people deal with suddenly having or losing powers.
