Samurai Rob is on Twitter! [Member Since: September 23 '11]
Hello all! My name is Rob (aka Samurai Rob) and I share this account with my two cousins – Adam and Bobby. Before our local comic shop closed, we made a point to always go together to pick up our weekly books. For over a decade and a half, the trip to the shop was the high point of our week. After it shut down, we were forced to go the online route to get our comic fix. Even though we no longer had a comic shop to go to, we chose to stay together, anyway.
your order is cleared to go.
I messed up and blurbed my own profile :P My response to your last blurb – I also enjoyed Girl Who Waited, really emotional, but I found the setup going in silly/cliche (Hey, why don’t we randomly separate before we explore this unknown area?), whereas Closing Time was the complete package.
Yep. I had mixed feelings. But the ep before, Closing Time, was excellent!

So, did u see the series six finale, yet? If so, what did u think? My friends are still 3 eps. behind and I have no one to discuss it with!

Welcome. :)
Primarily current, although I’m glad classic was around to world-build. Also a fan of Torchwood (esp first 2 seasons) and Sarah Jane Adv. Wearing a TARDIS/Stargate t-shirt right now :)

So, you recognizes my Tardis! Sweet! Always great to find another Whovian! So, are you a fan of the current series, the classic series, or both?
Graphic Novels Reviews
Brilliant in every way! I loved the movie, but the GN’s put it to shame! Highly recommended!

Five star story, Three star edition. Don’t get me wrong, the absolute editions are beautiful books, but they’re just too big to be practical.

First, let me say I’m not going to review the content, but the edition. Let’s face it, whatever can be said about Watchmen as a work has already been said. However, this new HC edition gets overlooked too often. Having owned several different versions over the years, this is by far my preferred. Granted, it’s hard to beat the Absolute Edition when it comes to extras and clarity of the artwork, but this new HC beats it at price point
and readability.

Brilliant! In my opinion, this is the best Batman story of the last 20 years! I do have to disagree with the other reviewer about Tim Sale’s art. I love it and think it fits the story perfectly. There’s just a dark and edgy style to it that blends seamlessly with such a dark toned story. Highly recommended!

After reading The Long Halloween, I have to say this was a bit of a disappointment. Worth the read if you liked TLH.
