My Comics Are Here, Again.
The Internet was good to my mailbox yesterday, as not only did I get my
latest Heavy Ink shipment (House of M: Avengers #1, and Living with the
Dead #2), but I also found a game from Gamefly (The Orange Box.. Yay Portal!) and a package from shirt.woot! (Uh-oh)
That said, I donno how much I liked the books themselves. HoM:Avengers didn't grab me, but I'm willing to wait until #2 to damn it. And while LwtD #1, about two dudes surviving Zombie Apocalypse by pretending they're zombies already, was freaking awesome... issue #2 was wasted on them trying to impress a girl. It's only a three-issue series; there's a lot of fun to be had in this world, but not much time left to do it. :/
It's worth noting that my prediction from earlier held true. My comics only took three days to get to the Bay Area (not counting Sunday, of course). It's cool that it only takes a couple days to ship the stuff cross-country, but with that in mind: Is it really worth it to get the $3.99/shipment UPS option when the regular Postal Service rocks so hard for cheap?
(Let's wait until Xmas traffic clogs the postaltubes before praising things -too- much, though)
