How did God smell? At night?

Todd Michael R. said:

God. I miss the way you smell at night.

Tyler says:

whoa wtf. Our god has fallen in love?! Is she also a god? (not a goddess… goddesses are just silly.)

Also, awesome about David Wise.

reply
Tyler says:

Todd! Where are you?! You’re missing out on golden comedy material over on the forums!

reply
.amilum. says:

I just watched Boy Friends – haha too much. That site is pretty slick too.

reply
Tyler says:

Hey man, what’s the latest on the comic? WHEN WILL IT BE IN MY KNAPSACK!?

reply
Eric says:

It’s great stuff. Keep it up!

Todd Michael R. said:

thnaks for enjoying the team genius stuff!

boywond3r says:

hey todd. I can’t believe your DK remix hasn’t gotten more views. did you ever think of posting them on Donkey Kong forums? I just did a google search of “Donkey Kong forums” and found a handful that looked busy. The video is brilliant. Cheers.

reply
Gin says:

AWESOME!
Thats how awesome.
Just awesome.

reply
Tyler says:

I’ve come to the conclusion that you get more awesome by the day. I was way behind on my “Thoughts That I Have Had”… but I caught up today. They just got progressively more and more awesome.

reply
Gin says:

mmm, writing. the one thing I cant/wont do willingly. :)

Todd Michael R. said:

I’m still around!

Busy busy busy writing!

reply view context
Gin says:

You disamappeared… does we have to send a search party?

reply
Monte says:

It’s great. I love how easy the site is to use, and the comics always arrive quickly and in great shape.

Todd Michael R. said:

Hope you’re enjoying heavy ink!

Gin says:

YOUR pants may be from target, but MINE are from the local WALMART! Or my aunt…

reply
RobertS says:

Hmm….Thoughts That I Have Had is still updating, but This is a Tricky Gray Area was shut down. Maybe Todd is off on a secret mission in Moscow and he can only spare enough time to update his comedy blog. Whatever you do Todd, make sure not to get your cover blown. I hear they wear furry hats and like vodka. Use that to your advantage.

reply
Tyler says:

Toooooooodddddddddddddddddddddddd.

reply
Kiriska says:

Oh, apologies for taking so amazingly long to reply. I apparently don’t check this often. You can see my illustration work at: deadend-detour.com

Todd Michael R. said:

Yea, same?

Gin says:

mmm… now would that bubble go all over YOU or ME if I popped it… Never had someone pop a bubble on me. They usually pop themselves.
Never seen a grown man blow bubbles either, tho that could just be that beards tend to run in my circles and its hell to clean them off.

reply
RobertS says:

If I may make a small suggestion about the Team Genius site: I like how you linked the “Thoughts I Have Had.” But before that happened, the video on the main page was the most recent video added. Now it’s on the Nothing episode. Maybe something at the top of the page to show if something has been updated?

reply
RobertS says:

I’m sure Matt’s death was worth it for the most awesome episode ever. Be hard to explain to the police though…
“Officer, it seems he tripped and landed head-first into this ax…”

reply
RobertS says:

Yea, I had definately not prepared myself to see Todd’s bare ass when I visited that site. Damn you Rogers!!!!

reply
Doc says:

Hrmmm. . . I see what you did there!

I’m just a big ball of win, aren’t I? :D

Dan [Support Emeritus] says:

Whoops – that one’s fixed, but it looks like you’ve got another one in “afternoons and wonder sighs”. Same problem, same place: “(more)”

Todd Michael R. said:

Now how we doin? (and thanks)

reply view context
Dan [Support Emeritus] says:

You’ve opened the A tag in front of the “(more)” in your Exclamation! post, but you haven’t closed it.

Todd Michael R. said:

well I can’t fuckin see it.

Help me out.

reply view context
Dan [Support Emeritus] says:

Thanks!

Todd Michael R. said:

p.s. great bio. that is brilliant.

Dan [Support Emeritus] says:

Looks like you’ve got an open link tag over in your miniblog.

reply
daynah says:

Haha couldn’t get someone worthy of interviewing?

Todd Michael R. said:

So here’s the deal…
Heavy Ink has given me excited permission to perform interviews with random users, which will be posted on the site, and linked within the newsletter, as the vocal, friendly, outspoken girl of the group, your up first!

email me: toddmichaelr@gmail.com

if you think that’s an awesome idea. If you don’t believe me,l check with TJIC!

RobertS says:

Wow. I just watched the Improvs Improv video and I burst out laughing. “Am I going to be the coach or something?” “You get to be the wizard, and you’ll be off over there in the corner fighting orcs.”

reply
RobertS says:

I also looked at the Team Genius site. Funny stuff. “What do you want to do?” “Nothing!”

reply
Tyler says:

Man… I just went back and re-read your fictional Stan Lee interview. It made me cry with hilarity all over again.

reply
Tyler says:

Hmmm. Let me talk it over with the guys here, and see what we can do.

Todd Michael R. said:

Maybe we could do some sort of “Todd Michael needs an artist” contest..or open call thing…. something everyone sees on the front page for a couple of days..SOMEONE out theres gotta be looking for a shot…

reply view context
Tyler says:

I can’t help but wonder “How?”.

Todd Michael R. said:

Hey man, thanks!
Publishing is looking like…
I just don’t know yet…
today I start the great artist and publisher search of 2008..you guys wanna help?

reply view context
Tyler says:

Woohoo. Welcome back Mr. Rogers. Things haven’t been the same without you. (Come to think of it, that phrase is rather strange… its like… “The sky hasn’t been blue, since it turned orange”)

Congrats on finishing the comic. What is publishing looking like?

reply
TJIC says:

Re: “the end”: Congrats!

reply
dempsey says:

Yeah I’m in CA. Born and raised in Orange County, went to college and now live in the Bay Area. Got my eyes on moving to SF (or Boston, or London).

reply
-B. says:

No worries, dude. Now at least I can say I’m under 60 titles. :)

reply
-B. says:

Ahh, so then I assume you must have been referring to the older House of M stuff then when you said I should read it. If so, that’s cool, as I already have that.

reply
-B. says:

Ok, ok, Todd. So I just added House of M: Avengers to my ever-growing subscription list. I’m generally a DC kind of guy, but the Breakout book was HIGHLY recommended to me and I’m going on your recommendation for the House of M miniseries. I do already have the old House of M stuff though.

reply
daynah says:

Aww! I didn’t say you looked bad in it. It’s just doing that Mona Lisa thing. :)

reply
daynah says:

Your photo scares me. It’s like youre watching me through the screen.

reply
dempsey says:

What can I say? I have my eye on the internets. On all of them.

reply
dempsey says:

I seeeeeeee youuuu!

You got a letter posted on Gaiman’s blog. I’m glad I’m not the only one who reads that thing neurotically :)

reply
-B. says:

Thanks for the info, Todd. I went ahead and ordered Avengers Disassembled as well as New Avengers Sentry Premiere.

reply
-B. says:

Hi Todd, just read your review of New Avengers Vol 1: Breakout. I had actually picked this up a couple of weeks ago, but haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. I note you say I should read Avengers: Dissasembled first. Why is that, without giving anything away? Are you saying that because it’s also a good read, or are you saying that because it’s necessary to understand the storyline? Shoot me a blurb when you get a chance. Thanks.

-b.

reply
dempsey says:

Thanks for the tip, man!

Also, I would like an answer to TJIC’s question :)

reply
TJIC says:

So, when do we find ut what WHYLC stands for?

reply
TJIC says:

WRT to your question on my blurb a while back: no, there’s no way to search through users yet, but it’s planned.

reply
geoff says:

haven’t checked out umbrella academy yet, but i did check out the free comic book day stuff and it seems like just the kind of crazy i need in my life.
p.s.
you’re doing great stuff with team genius. i mainly do improv stuff, but my friends have a sketch group that i help out with every now and then. check them out at www.thosearentmuskets.com

reply
DB says:

Thanks, the Foom needs all the love he can get ever since Ellis tore his heart out. ;)

Nice Illuminati re-write! It tangentially makes me wonder what would happen to the world if Black Bolt sang the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme.

reply
Gimpy Devil says:

Spawn isn’t what it used to be since the days of Overtkill and Angela, but it still has my interest. I’ve been reading since issue #1, so I can’t stop now!

reply
Pete says:

Oh, I know I’m magic. But, there’s also a bug. How do I know this? Because I’m magic!

reply
Pete says:

Both your deleted blurb and the replacement showed up in my RSS feed… I can see things you’ve unsaid! I guess I’ll fix that.

reply
TJIC says:

This
http://thisisatrickygreyarea.blogspot.com/2007/11/fictional-stan-lee-interview.html

is the funniest thing I’ve read all day.

Well done!

reply
dempsey says:

Dr. McNinja is a beast. You know, he’s both a doctor and a ninja. He’s a double-threat! Also, I couldn’t do writing on a yellow notepad. I’d be too distracted. I like the crisp, pristine white.

reply
Pete says:

Hey Todd, I saw your new threads and hope it turns into something. If we don’t get enough reaction now we can try something bigger (emails, front page, etc) once we’ve grown some.

I think one great big messy forum is ok for now, particularly because the community is small. We’ll move stuff later as needed…

I did make you a moderator, thanks for offering. I’m not sure what it lets you do, I haven’t tried it before…

reply
dempsey says:

CWIL may never catch on but at least now I’ll know what you’re saying :) Did a little skimming through your blog, btw. You’ve got a great sense of humor :)

For writing I tend to use white, narrow-ruled legal pads, and then copy that into OpenOffice. It has to be narrow-ruled, I can’t stand wide-ruled. I also usually have a small notepad on me to jot things down, one of those cheap Memo guys that come in five colors varying from mundane to irritatingly vivid. I usually carry the hot pink one. I think it gets the point across best.

reply
dempsey says:

Loved your “interview” with Stan Lee. “When I write, DIAMONDS cut across the page, do you understand?” I had to stifle actual laughter. (I would say LoL but it doesn’t really communicate laughing anymore, does it?)

I’ve heard good things about Final Draft before, but I’m cheap. It’s why I got into writing! Notebooks don’t cost much and nobody really bothers you about it. Maybe there’s a good crack out there for it…

… I mean… I’m not doing anything illegal! Not at all! >.>

reply
Pete says:

Thanks for the kind words, Todd!

reply
Tyler says:

Wow. The improv improvs made me cry.

Thanks for checking out the site.
