Our Love Is Real One Shot

If you haven’t heard of Sam Humphries, you will very shortly. His meteoric rise in the comic business rivals that of Nick Spencer just over a year ago.

I don’t know if there are plans for another printing of Our Love Is Real, but if there is, get it. It is twisted and hilarious in a way that most stories with a real moral aren’t.

Not for children, though.

I have been fortunate to find a dealer who can provide me with Humphries’ self-published comic, Sacrifice. It, too, is excellent.

Humphries will soon be writing two series from Boom! Fanboys vs. Zombies (issue 1 available for $1 here: http://heavyink.com/comic/23059-Fanboys-Vs-Zomb... ) and the upcoming Higher Earth. For Marvel, Humphries is writing the adaptation of Gods of Mars ( http://heavyink.com/title/8390-John-Carter-Gods... ) and will be taking over The Ultimates from Jonathan Hickman.

On top of that, he’s a genuinely nice guy.
