This is for all intents and purposes a Blade story (if you didn’t already guess from the cover).

I like that Mark Millar is digging up some of the underused characters in the old spidey teamup series (ie punisher in Ultimate Avengers 2).

The down side is that some characters have fallen on the back burner (war machine and Hulk #3?)

The new daredevil seems like a child version of daredevil becomes vampire hunter (I guess its better than black panther becoming daredevil). Given how little daredevil was used in the first place in the ultimate universe it hardly seems to warrant replacing him.

Add ontop of that Steve Dillon is doing the art. Even though I’m a huge fan of the punisher; I have never liked his work.

The story is entertaining; though it may be tough to bring yourself to re-read it. It might be best to wait it out at this point and see if it gets better before shelling out the cash to buy the individual issues. (If you have the patience the hard covers are especially nice for the ultimate avengers)
