I was really surprised by how much I liked this. I’ve never read a Daredevil title outside Greg Rucka’s run with Electra, so I was a little worried that I’d be lost in the world of Marvel Street Level characters. The result was actually the complete opposite though! I felt like there was plenty of story that evolved in this 30 page battle of two super powers. If nothing else it’s certainly got me excited for the shadowland event starting in July.

The basic story is Luke Cage and DD make a bet that they can beat the other in a fight after Luke swings in and saves DD from a bullet. You see both characters struggling with the idea of fighting a friend and dealing with the possible ramifications of Luke potentially really hurting DD.

In the end it makes for a pretty terrific fight with a pretty good twist along the way.

I’d say read it in your local shop or borrow from a friend and definitely check out shadowland in July.
