Did you ever find yourself saying “Indiana Jones would be so much better if his skin was a titanium alloy”? If so, you’ll love Atomic Robo, the story of an adventuring robot built by Nikola Tesla in the 1920s. He runs the Action Science League, a group of fellow men of science (with guns and tanks) who solve many of the world’s mysteries for a nominal fee (which is covered by their “priceless artifact safety guarantee” – if we blow up your millennium old priceless artifacts, your next service is FREE!!!). In this world, you’ll need it. Trust me.

Atomic Robo is a robotic adventurer, scientist (really!), and American citizen. (His legal status as a human and a citizen were a reward for delaying WWII.)

Atomic Robo and his Action Scientists, employees of Tesladyne Industries, solve your unconventional problems. Giant ants heading for your city? Team Robo can handle it. Need to explore the vampire dimension? Call Team Robo. The great pyramids of Giza taking a walk? Team Robo will stop those pesky monuments in their tracks. Need any of the above done without massive violence? ... Did I mention that the team leader is a real robot!

Atomic Robo, the coolest old guy you’ll ever meet.

I just read the volume 1 trade. Great adventure story, top notch stuff. Should be in every comic collector’s collection.
