Judge Dredd Complete Case Files
Customer Reviews
Judge Dredd is like the UK’s major hero. He’s like Superman and Spider-man wrapped into one dominating comic company called 2000 AD.
That aside it is important to know the series started in 1977 and the first volume is pretty cheesy.
The series starts to shine at the second volume when two back to back epics take place. Keep in mind it is still cheesy but the quality gradually improves.
From what I understand the series progresses in real time. To as far as my knowledge the concept of real time and comic time goes out the window and Dredd actually ages along with his series (and with the reader). I don’t know about you but to me that is really F@#$%ING COOL!
That aside if you want a modern age comic you’d be better off jumping ahead a couple of volumes.
The volumes also reflect the time the series was printed in that for a while the series was without color. If you buy the first batch of volumes don’t feel gypped, those issues were never really put into color.
Anyway I recommend this comic to anyone interested in post apocalyptic crime infested lands where the police are also the judges (and often the executioners as well).
(If I stated anything wrong please feel free to correct me)

I have the first 12 volumes. Judge Dredd is awesome. The 80’s were awesome to Dredd.
