When I first saw that Marvel was going to release this European comic in English I wondered … why?
The title sounds as though it’s aimed at pre-teen females. Hmmmmm … NOT the case! The theme throughout is quite strange, yet, somewhat amusing. Religion,narcisism, self gratification and sexual references (even a sexually explicit scene) all bound together in a sci-fi-ish overtone.
The art is very good, fresh and quite original.
If you want a change of pace from all the Super-Hero stuff … give this one a shot. (With an open mind, of course.)
Anyway, Sky Doll was actually an enjoyable read for me. It will be interesting to see if Marvel continues the story of Sky Doll. I hope so.
