Whedon is the best thing to happen to the X-Franchise since Morrison’s run.

Astonishing X-Men is one of the best consistently well written titles out there. First we had Joss Whedon with his witty writing and now Warren Ellis with his great dialogue.

Dropped it after issue #26. Ellis’s style of writing just wasn’t doing it for me. Early ‘80’s Clairemont and Morrison’s run were my favorite years of X-Men, so that’s why I took well to Wheadon’s run on Astonishing. His work was like an homage to both Clairemont and Morrison.
