The 1st issue was very cool, it had almost a “John Carpenter’s The Thing” feeling to it. The video game of Dead Space will be available for XBOX360, PS3 and PC in October. The game seems differnt from the comic because it seems to takes place after the events in the comic. wow-wow-wee-waa

Dead Space is a tie-in to the survival horror game by the same title to be released this Halloween, 2008. It’s a fairly weak title, primarily due to pacing. It’s a 6 issue mini-series and the first 3 (possibly 4) issues are build-up to the climatic event. Simply put, this is a tie-in prologue to the game that doesn’t stand by itself. It’s a shame because the idea and artwork is great. It’s just a shame that by the time it becomes interesting it’ll be over.
