The Graphic Novels in front of me

By Geoff Johns and Phil Jimemez. Not particularity stoked on this. Too confusing. I never followed the whole thing and bought this hoping it would be enough to understand what was going on. if you’re going to do Infinite Crisis, do ALL of it. I would but I’m not really into the DC lore. Geoff Johns’s stuff in Green Lantern is pretty dope though.

it was 50% off. IT’s pretty lame, especially the story where Sara Pezini is kickin’ it on the watchtower with the JLA and the witchblade takes on Wonder Woman, Barbara Gordon, and someone else as its host. Also, Superman versus The Darkness would be a no-brainer right? Wrong.

Jessi Mac says:Uncanny X-Men: From The Ashes. Collects from where they had to put down Dark Phoenix, the introduction of Madelyn Prior, the Morlocks, Rogue, The Silver Samurai. Pretty groovy collection.

by various. This was the first x-title crossover of the 90’s. Someone who looks just like Cable shot Professor X. lots of shit goes down including the early awakening of Apocalypse.

12.Jessi Mac says:
This was the last storyline in Grant Morrison’s run on X-Men, Illustrated by the great Marc Silvestri. It’s a stand alone story and some other writer will probably pick up where this left off somewhere down the line soon. Good read. Great Art.

Jessi Mac says:Wolverine: Blood Hungry by Peter David & Sam Keith. Wacky spin on artwork by Mr. Keith, This is a trade taken from Wolverine’s battle with Cyber. Cyber has adimantium skin and needles on his fingertips that inject a psychadelic poison. It’s like a mushroom trip with your favorite “canucklehead”.

When this came out I was like “Finally, we’re gonna know the TRUE origin of the most bad ass superhero EVER”. It was really a good book, lots of suspense… totally not how I would have imagined Logan’s beginnings but it definitely worked for me.

Good Story. It’s weird if you haven’t read Origin, because it caries on a lot of the same themes and story elements, but takes place in Wolvie’s far future. It actually ties a lot of shit together, as far as if you had questions about certain panels in Origin.

8.Jessi Mac says:
Marc Guggenheim tell a pretty good story here. It’s a nice fit in with all the Civil War shit that went down in ‘06. Where this trade REALLY shines is with the art of my main man Humberto Ramos. Amen. Who had me wishing as I read this that he would do X-Men… and poof… He does a run on X-Men (Messiah Complex)

7.Jessi Mac says:
Yeah… so The art (Simone Bianchi) is amazing in this. Jeph Loeb… uh… I don’t think he reads the comic book titles he’s about to write. This collection shat all over the continuity build-up from the previous year, but if you try hard not to think about that than it’s an okay story i guess.

Jessi Mac says:Part of Bendis’ run on this title. Different feel from Millar’s but equally as good. In this volume: someone’s trying to kill Wolverine in New York City. His only option is the help of a friendly neighborhood 15-year-old Spider-Man.
-
5.
Jessi Mac says:SPIDER-MAN: Torment by Todd McFarlane If you’re like me then you remember in elementary school when EVERY one of your friends had at least 1 edition of SPIDER-MAN #1. Todd McFarlane wrote and illustrated (not necessarily in that order) Marvel’s best selling comic of all time. This trade collects the first 5 isssues of the Todd’s last work at Marvel before breaking his own record with Spawn.

4.Jessi Mac says:
I never bought into this when it first came out. I finally started reading it like 6 years later and it blew my mind. Millar & Kubert did an unreal job of rebooting Marvel’s hottest property. It’s even better than the original title.
-
3.
Jessi Mac says:X-Men Visionaries: Adam & Andy Kubert. This just reprints a few issues they did on Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine in the 90’s
-
2.Jessi Mac says:
This collection kicks the SHIT out of the movie (which I thought was good) that just came out. I read somewhere a while back that “they” were thinking of casting Eminem for the role of Wesley Gibson. You can see why after seeing his character design.

1.Jessi Mac says:
I think this story is based on the American Government’s meddling with those of Latin American countries during the cold war. There’s a foreword by an anonymous buddy of Bendis’s who claims to be a real spy.
