What is this list?

I’ve just recently started reading Green Lantern, but I’m hooked. The following are the trades that I’ve found represent the best of the Green Lanterns. The list isn’t in order of awesomeness, just more or less a continuity order (top to bottom=past to present)

This goes right after Rebirth and before Passing of the Torch: Green Lantern: Brother’s Keeper

I have to put it up here in the description area because HI currently doesn’t have it on file, which is too bad because it’s one of the best GL trades I’ve read! It involves the 2002 award winning (don’t know which award, I tried googling it but nothing really came up) storyline Hate Crime. It involves Kyle Rayner and what drove him into space, unable to find the will to protect the human race.

I haven’t read this one yet, but if it’s anything like volume 2, I definately want to get my hands on it.

This is so great; Oliver Queen and Hal Jordon are the perfect match up. It’s also a great peek into the past. A lot of social commentary including the introduction of John Stewart!

This is the beginning of the ‘new’ Green Lantern era. Hal Jordon is still stuck with Parallax and the Specter and the Green Lantern Corps is in tatters. A great read that gives us how John’s constructs are always like blueprints, every nut and bolt included, how Guy’s ring sprays and sparks because his willpower can’t wait to be unleashed, how Kyle’s constructs are constantly being refined and updated, etc.

This was my very first venture into Green Lantern and it’s really good. Definately one to pick up.

The mini series that reintroduces the Green Lantern Corps as it’s rebuilding itself from when Parallax destroyed it. We see the introduction of lanterns such as Soranik Natu, Isamot Kol and Vath Sarn. I think this is a great series so far and it all started here.

Continuing the Green Lantern Corps. Starting to see hints pointing towards the Sinestro wars…

The introduction of the Green Lantern Corpse! O_O! Butterfly girl was a pretty cool character.

    Sinestro Wars…super awesome.

ATTENTION LANTERNS: THE BOOK OF OA HAS BEEN RE-WRITTEN. This is so good. Keep an eye out during the fight with Sinestro for “Epa!!!” (Re: The Simpsons Movie)

Cool list man, I’m not a huge fan of Green Lantern for the most part but his involvement in The New Frontier books was great!
