Thanos Kicks Ass!

This List is by...

Matt

This lists's score:

Bullet_arrow_up Bullet_arrow_down 0 pts.

What is this list?

I love Thanos. No, seriously, I do. So here’s some GREAT stuff to read featuring Thanos, courtesy (mostly) of Jim Starlin and Ron Lim.

    Annihilation Vol. 1
    Matt says:

Thanos supposedly factors into this series somehow but I haven’t read it yet. If it DOES have Thanos, it is automatically going to be mine. Oh yes. It will. I shall place it lovingly on my special Thanos shelf, betwixt my valentine to Thanos and my caricature-style portrait of Thanos and I on a jet ski.

  • 4.
    Infinity War
    Matt says:

I don’t remember this story well but it’s got Thanos in it so once again, I bet it’s good.

  • 3.
Life And Death Of Captain Marvel
    Matt says:

So this is early Starlin whackjobness, and so it’s kinda disjointed, and kinda all over the place…but Thanos still rules in it. The Death part is also a snoozefest. Still, you get to join Captain Marvel on an acid trip, which is RAD.

  • 2.
Silver Surfer Rebirth Of Thanos Vol. 1
    Matt says:

Here’s where the Infinity “saga” loosely begins, with some issues of Silver Surfer and the two-issue Thanos Quest miniseries, which is basically a prologue to Infinity Gauntlet. Ron Lim is just a monster of goodness on this volume; I love Starlin when he’s on his game as an artist, and I love George Perez too; Ron Lim is like their ubertalented bastard child. Seriously.

  • 1.
    Infinity Gauntlet
    Matt says:

This is where it ALL GOES DOWN. Thanos vows to kill half the universe so that Death will love him. Think about that for a minute, then ponder whether or not you can actually continue to live without this volume in your home library. Put on your smoking jacket, get something “special” to smoke, and read Infinity Gauntlet. It’s the best way to spend a Thursday afternoon EVER.
