What is this list?

The Will Eisner Comic Industry Award is a prize given for creative achievement in American comic books. It is named in honor of the pioneering writer and artist Will Eisner, who was a regular participant in the award ceremony until his death in 2005, and includes the comics industry’s Hall of Fame. The Eisner Award was created in response to the discontinuation of the Kirby Awards after 1987. (source: Wikipedia)

The Eisner Award is given in many categories: Best Single Issue, Best Short Story, Best Serialized Story, etc…all the way up to and including “Best Graphic Novel”.

This list pulls together a bunch of “Best Graphic Novel” winners (note: not all of them are in print right now, so this list is definately incomplete!)
