On the surface this trade is confusing. Go a little deeper and it gets depressing and disturbing. The only reason I gave it two stars is because despite the fact it was bleak and disturbing (I’ll even use that word a third time: this book disturbed the hell out of me) it was still good writing. Don’t confuse good with enjoyable though. This was one of the least enjoyable graphic novels I think I have ever read.
