Graphic Novel Summary: chronicles cartoonist Ariel Schrag's junior year at Berkeley High School. Written during the summer after the school year she was documenting, it covers her quest to lose her virginity to a boy, her sexual confusion, her hopeless romance with a female classmate, her parents' divorce, learning life lessons from her art teacher, dabbling in drinking and smoking pot, trying to make sense of the biology she reads about in textbooks versus the biology she's living, and the personal and social complications of writing about her life as it happens.
