After reading the Atomic Robo FCBD issue, I am anxious to read the rest of the series. The solicitation for the TPB says it includes ‘bonus stories.’ Are these unique to the trade, or are they back-ups that appeared in the mini-series? I’m trying to decide between singles or the trade, but I don’t want to miss any of the wonderful smart-@$$ robot fun.

I believe they will be extras added to the trade; I dont remember there being any back stories in the floppies.

There were a couple stories in the issues that were two or three pages long at the end of it, but I’m sure those would be included in the trade. I’m not sure if those are the ones it is referring to though.

Issues 3 – 6 have back up stories, each one is at least 4 pages long. They are collected in the trade paperback along with the pin-up art from all six issues. The only really “new” content consists of Robo concept art from mid- to late-2006, a little commentary on it, and a two page analysis/teaser about how Robo might work.

Thanks for the info. I’m still torn, but I am leaning toward the trade.

At this point, definitely go with the trade. It’ll be out next month, it’ll look better on your shelf, and it’ll be easier to carry around. Y’know, for letting your friends borrow it to convince them to get their own LIKE FOOLS.

Ahem.

Hmm. I ended up going with the floppies. (Might even get them today!) I definitely think I’m in the minority here, but I prefer them to trades.

-b.

I’ve got the floppies, but when the trade comes out I’ll probably pick it up anyway. Just because it’s that good.
