Customer Reviews
I’ve been following this series since its inception and have every issue, save the FCBD issues. I was originally just along for the ride as I am a fan of Clevinger’s 8-Bit Theater. I’ve enjoyed the stories, but this most recent story arc has definitely shown the growth of the writer and author. This book is awesome.
The comic story-telling medium has done a lot of growing up steadily since the 60’s until now, and the industry is at a point where, sadly, the average Marvel or DC book isn’t really appropriate for younger audiences. Of course there are exceptions, but Atomic Robo as a series seeks to hit the reset button on this trend. The result is a book for all ages thats fun to read with plenty of action, humor, sci-fi, and adventure that doesn’t take itself too seriously. For anyone that feels that comics are trying to become something that they are not, or are looking for a fun book for their kids, or for themselves, should pick this book up.
