Okay, first I just want to say that I have actually enjoyed the artwork on both the regular Batman title, and now on BFTC, but Tony Daniel is just not ready for prime time as a major writer. He did well enough in the first issue and I was willing to give him a chance, but whoa since then this just plain sucks. The plot has a hole big enough to drive a truck through and now the final summation for how Dick takes over the mantle of the bat is just plain wrecked. DC had a chance for something great here, but once again it’s a matter of style over substance. Let’s hope Winick gets a chance to fix things. I honestly would have liked it better if he had written it, but no use crying over spilled milk and wasted cash. If Blackest night isn’t any better than this and the Flash mini, I’m dumping all limited series until Trade comes out.
