Doktor Sleepless
Comic Summary: by Warren Ellis & Ivan Rodriguez Doktor Sleepless continues his ranting and radio in this ongoing series from Warren Ellis. It's such a noisy world, isn't it? The cries of the disaffected, the screams of the dying, the complaints of all those previously-cozy folks in Central, and all the mad music that clangs and heralds and sounds a bit like the end of the world. Every day the world gets louder, until it seems like all that's left to do is tune it out. It doesn't seem like anyone's really listening anymore, does it? But if the people of Heavenside aren't listening to the Doktor, they should be - because they don't want to miss what he's going to say next! Warren Ellis' satirical-political science fiction novel continues its on-going run! The issue is available with a regular cover by series artist Ivan Rodriguez, or wraparound cover by Raulo Caceres, and also a rare 1-in-15 Future Warning Sign cover.

Customer Reviews
This issue has what I like about the Doktor book. I myself am not a half-crazed, substance-affected anarchist like Ellis. I’m pretty confident I’d be described as very straight-laced by those that meet me. However, I still appreciate his social commentary. This story is a very wry look at two society extremes in conflict: a proto-fascist city and it its underground. So far, Vol 2 seems to be focusing on the city (which is its government) and it’s self-inflicted slide into doom. Half the fun of the book is reading Ellis’ rants in the afterwords (“backmatters”). Whether or not you agree with tearing down modern society this is an entertaining read and may even help engage your brain about what’s important to you and why.
