Comic Summary: by David Rodriguez & Patrick McEvoy Cartaphilus and Leyla have begun to prepare Alex for his upcoming trials, but there is a growing concern about Alex's inability to consciously use any magic. The Council of Five doesn't believe Alex can overcome his mental block before the trials begin, and they are worried Alex's failure could send the Covens into a panic. To solidify its position, the Council has begun its own preparations to ensure the continued cooperation of the Covens by turning Alex into a figurehead under its direct control... whether he wants the job or not.
