This is starting to get real annoying.
I get excited that I’m about to read a ridiculously huge and slighly more expensive comic only to find that out of that 96 pages only 40 are the new original stuff.
Then another 40 is a reprint I don’t give a @#$% about.
Then a saga sum up of the series which I also don’t give a @#$% about.
Then the rest is ads.
Don’t advertise 96 pages if you’re going to fill it up with bull@#$%!
Ryan is dead-on — the entire second half of this issue is recycled material. First there’s a multi-page history of the Thunderbolts done as a fake dialogue between Songbird and Moonstone. Then there’s a reprint of #1 (which is available in TPB). This second one shouldn’t be a huge surprise, in retrospect, since half of the “super-size” T-bolts #100 was a reprint of the 1997 annual.
So: the “96-page” marketing is pretty much BS… there’s no new material except the normal-sized issue at the front.
That said, I really enjoyed the new story. I’ve been on the fence about the new team and Jeff Parker’s writing, and this issue finally won me over. The characters are getting a bit deeper, and the personalities of the team are starting to click more. It’s starting to feel like a team book again.

Argh, I was afraid of this.
The new material was still a decent story ((slight spoiler) it deals with the ghost and iron man issues and removes a character from the thunderbolts team).
Its just annoying that it even says it on the cover of the book “96-Page 150th Issue!”
