PRINCE OF POWER #4: Omnipotence for Dummies
At long last Vali Halfling of The Pantheon is on the brink of gaining the greatest power of the godsâhaving obtained the Ambrosia, Apples of Idunn and the Book of Thothâall that remains is the Moon-Cup of Dhanvantarithe and with it the dominion of the Sky Fathers will be his!
At The Olympus Group Building, Delphyne Gorgon seeks to thwart the plans of The Pantheon but now she must face the deadly Atalanta. As the battle rages, the Amazonian Queen must find what it is that she is fighting for?
Fearing that Amadeus Cho will follow in the path of the treacherous Loki, Thor seeks to put a final end to the Boy Genius, but the plan fails as the smart kid blasts him down with his own thunderbolt. After taking out the God of Thunder the newly empowered Cho seeks a final confrontation with his nemesis, Vali Halfling.
In the world of mortals and the world of gods, our heroes fight for survival, their worlds soon colliding in a realm of demons! In the end, Cho manages to attain the ultimate power of the Sky Fathers for himself and resurrects our favorite Greek Hero: The Incredible Hercules! However, our cheerful reunion is cut short for THE CHAOS KING HAS ARRIVED TO ANNIHILATE ALL OF REALITY!
Ultimately, I believe that Thor was nothing more than a sad steppingstone for the character of Amadeus Cho; aside from suffering constant humiliation and berating at the deeds and words of the Boy Genius, the mighty Thunder God was portrayed as a silly fatalistic âZOLOFTâ Norseman by Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente. At least Thorâs words of wisdom did reach Cho in the end when he decided to sacrifice his new godhood. As always, I love that the authors are drawing upon the characters and worlds of mythology, but I just wish they didnât have to be made laughable for the sake of all the jokes and comedy; I simply wish for the quality of Story Arcs: WWH: Incredible Herc, Incredible Hercules: Against the World and Incredible Hercules: Secret Invasion. Still, I have hope for what is next in the Chaos War to come . . .
Now the Gates of the Underworlds shall be shattered with the coming of Mikaboshi the Supreme Darkness and the doom of all things!
